What is an induced draft fan? And what makes a centrifugal fan used for boilers different?
Boiler fans are generally divided into two types:
One is the induced draft fan (ID fan), which operates under negative pressure. It is installed at the rear of the boiler and is used to extract flue gas from the furnace chamber.
The other is the blower fan, which operates under positive pressure. It is also called a boiler combustion air fan. Its function is to deliver air into the furnace to support and improve combustion efficiency.
