Low Airflow in Your Centrifugal Fan?

Check These 4 Things in 1 Minute:

1️⃣ Check the Rotation Direction
Place a piece of paper at the air inlet. If it doesn’t get pulled in, the fan may be rotating in reverse. For three-phase motors, swapping any two power phases can solve the problem immediately.

2️⃣ Check the Speed
Is the belt loose? Has the VFD (variable frequency drive) frequency been reduced? A drop in speed directly reduces airflow.

3️⃣ Inspect for Blockages
Check the filter, duct elbows, and dampers. Make sure all dampers are fully open. In many cases, reduced airflow is simply caused by dust buildup or obstructions.

4️⃣ Inspect the Impeller
After shutting down the fan, check whether the blades are covered with oil, dust, or debris, and look for wear or damage. Cleaning or replacing the impeller can quickly restore airflow performance.

👉 Already checked all four but still have low airflow?
