Follow these 3 emergency steps immediately:
- Cut power right away — if you smell burning or see smoke, trip the breaker immediately.
- Manually rotate the shaft — after power off, turn the impeller. If it’s stuck or makes abnormal noise, the bearing may be damaged.
- Check the load — inspect whether valves are fully closed or filters are clogged.
Can’t stop production? Use a large fan to blow on the motor for temporary cooling. But afterward, an electrician must check the current and look for phase loss issues.
If overheating continues without stopping, you’re risking a repair bill of thousands.
