Common Problems with Centrifugal Fans — How Many Have You Encountered?
1. Sudden Increase in Centrifugal Fan Noise
A sudden increase in noise is usually caused by foreign objects entering the impeller and rubbing against the casing, or loose fixing bolts. It is recommended to stop the fan immediately and inspect it for maintenance.
2. Severe Motor Overheating
The main causes are bearing lubrication failure, bearing wear, or overload caused by abnormal airflow conditions. After shutdown, add proper lubricating grease to the bearings and check the air duct and fan interior for any blockages or foreign objects.
3. Belt Slippage and Abnormal Noise
Adjust the distance between the pulleys to increase belt tension. If the belt is aged or damaged, replace it with a new one directly.
