Applications of High Pressure Centrifugal Fans

High pressure centrifugal fans (Total Pressure > 3000 Pa, typical models: 9-19, 9-26) are characterized by their high pressure capability, allowing them to overcome high system resistance from pipelines, filter bags, furnaces, and other equipment. They are widely used for high-pressure air supply, exhaust, pneumatic conveying, and blowing/purging applications.

1. Building Materials & Cement Industry

  • Cooling at cement kiln heads, kiln tail exhaust, raw mill / coal mill circulating ventilation, and clinker cooler cooling;
  • Powder pneumatic conveying and dust collection systems, requiring wear-resistant impellers to handle high-dust gas flow.

2. Metallurgy & Steel Industry

  • Blast furnace air supply, sintering exhaust, converter gas recovery, and coke oven gas treatment;
  • Forced combustion air supply for heating furnaces and melting furnaces, with high requirements for high-temperature and wear resistance in some applications.

  • Coal-fired / biomass boilers and waste incinerators: primary air, secondary air, induced draft, and FGD/SCR booster applications;
  • Air supply for circulating fluidized bed boilers, overcoming high resistance from flue gas ducts and desulfurization systems.

  • Gas circulation for reactors, acid/alkaline waste gas conveying, and exhaust gas treatment;
  • Air supply for lithium battery cathode material sintering furnaces and solvent recovery systems;

  • Bag filter and cartridge filter systems, overcoming filter resistance;
  • Central dust collection, waste gas treatment, and activated carbon adsorption systems for air supply and exhaust.

Simple Selection Guide

If the system has long pipelines, many elbows, filter bags, furnaces, or other high-resistance equipment, a high-pressure centrifugal fan is the preferred choice.

For ordinary workshop ventilation, a low-pressure centrifugal fan is usually sufficient. Choosing an oversized high-pressure fan for a low-resistance application will only increase energy consumption and operating costs.
