How to Select the Right Fan for Rotary Drum Dryers
During the fan selection process for rotary drum dryers, there are two key parameters that require special attention:
First, the determination of airflow volume.
If the airflow is too large, materials may be carried out by the air stream, causing the problem known as “material carryover.” If the airflow is too small, moisture removal efficiency will decrease, drying speed will slow down, and the overall production capacity will be affected. Therefore, the airflow volume must be accurately designed. In general, the required airflow is calculated based on the drum diameter of the rotary dryer and the internal air velocity.
Second, the determination of fan pressure.
Fan pressure directly determines whether the actual airflow can meet the design requirements and ultimately affects the drying capacity. The required pressure depends on the diameter and length of the environmental protection equipment and connecting pipelines. Essentially, it is an evaluation of the total system pressure loss (resistance).

Customer Testimonials
Trusted by industrial partners across 30+ countries — real feedback from our global clients.
“We’ve been using Dajing’s 9-19 high-pressure centrifugal blowers for our dust removal system. The airflow performance is excellent, and the noise level is much lower than our previous models. Truly reliable quality.”
