The pressure range of a blower is relatively wide:
- Low-pressure blowers typically have an outlet pressure of 1–10 kPa and are commonly used for simple ventilation and air exchange applications.
- Medium-pressure blowers generally operate within 10–100 kPa and are often used for pneumatic conveying and similar industrial processes.
- High-pressure blowers can reach 100–1000 kPa or even higher, making them suitable for specialized industrial environments.
An induced draft (ID) fan mainly generates negative pressure to extract gases. In boiler draft systems, the pressure differential is typically around 1–3 kPa, which is sufficient to draw flue gas from the boiler and discharge it into the atmosphere.
